What this site collects and why. The short version: analytics, and the details you give at checkout.
What this covers
This page explains what leespringer.co collects and why. The site is run by Lee Springer, doing business as Lee Springer Co., in Plainfield, Illinois.
Analytics
I use Google Analytics to see which pages get read. It only runs on leespringer.co.
It sets cookies. It records things like the pages you visit, the site that sent you, your device and browser, your rough location, and clicks on outside links or on my email link. I ask Google to shorten your IP address. I don’t use it to find out who you are.
You can block it with your browser’s cookie settings, a content blocker, or Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
When you buy something
At checkout on /packages/start, you enter your name, email, phone, and current site. That goes to Square with your order so Square can make the payment page. It reaches me with the receipt.
Square takes your card. This site never sees or stores your card number. Square’s own privacy policy covers what Square does.
I use your details to do the work and to reach you about it. I keep them as long as you’re a client, then only what tax and payment records require. Ask and I’ll delete the rest.
CurtainHop tickets
If you bought a ticket or signed in through CurtainHop, my ticketing service at hop.leespringer.co, see the CurtainHop privacy policy at leespringer.co/curtainhop/privacy. It explains what the venue gets and how ticket emails are sent.
The Scan
When you buy The Scan, the web address you enter is the page I look at. The demo scorecard on /packages/scan runs in your browser and sends nothing to me.
If you email me, I get your address and what you wrote. I use it to answer you.
The Ask box
Questions you type in the Ask box go to my server. To write an answer, it may send the question to an outside AI service. Answers are kept in short-term memory so a repeat question is fast. They are not saved to a database.
My server briefly uses your IP address to limit how often questions can be asked. Please don’t type private information in the Ask box.
Saved on your device
The console and some lab games save small settings in your browser, like a high score or that you’ve seen a hint. They stay on your device.
Other services
My hosting provider serves this site and keeps standard server logs. Google Fonts serves the type, so Google sees your IP address when the fonts load. Square handles payments. Google Analytics measures visits. Each has its own privacy policy.
Ads
This site doesn’t show ads.
Selling data
I never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Not to anyone, not ever.
I never share it with anyone for their own marketing. It only goes to the services named on this page, and only to run this site and do your job. For CurtainHop tickets, the CurtainHop privacy policy lists who gets what, including the venue putting on your show.
Kids
This site isn’t meant for children under 13. I don’t knowingly collect their information.
Your choices
Email me to ask what I have about you, or to ask me to delete it. Some records, like payment receipts, may need to be kept.
Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes too.
